CAPS 2020 is the 4th International Conference on Complexity and Policy Studies. The single track cross-disciplinary conference is organized by the Complex Systems Institute of the University of North Carolina, Charlotte. It is a cross-disciplinary conference that brings together researchers and practitioners to explore the application of insights from the study of complex systems to public policy with a special emphasis on social good. The conference gives practitioners and researchers the opportunity to learn from each other, explore collaborations, and connect with like-minded people.

The Dupont Summit has been postponed to next year.
 
 
The purpose of the Dupont Summit is to promote interdisciplinary dialogue about pressing issues related to science, technology and the environment. The conference mirrors the interest of the PSO and its partners in promoting conversation about current policy concerns.
 
Presented every year on the first Friday of December, the conference brings together academics, government, business and social leaders from a variety of backgrounds, for discussion about issues that include but that are not limited to:
 
  • Health
  • Energy
  • National Security
  • Information and Telecommunications
  • Environment, Climate Change 
  • Biotechnology
  • Genetics and Stem Cells
  • Water and Natural Resources
  • Science Research and Education
  • Technology and Innovation, Space
  • Ethical, Legal & Social Implications 
 
Other topic suggestions are welcome. Papers are invited on the intersection of science with ethical and philisiohical issues as well. Our goal is to promote multidisciplinary conversation and networking across the social and political spectrum.
