Call For Papers: The Saber & Scroll Journal
The Saber & Scroll is a quarterly, peer-reviewed, open access publication of the American Public University System’s Historical Studies Honor Society. The journal welcomes contributions on a wide range of history and military history topics.
Manuscript submissions must adhere to the following: Length of manuscript should be between 6,000 and 7,000 words, not including front or back matter, and prepared using MS Word. The narrative and notes are to be in 12-point Times New Roman, numbered, and double-spaced with a one-inch margin on all sides. The citation style for the Journal is the latest edition of Chicago-Turabian, using end-notes. Any manuscript not adhering to these policies will not be considered and the author will be notified so that corrections can be made.
All authors must sign a release form, but signing does not relinquish his/her rights to the work.
The manuscript and cover page need to be submitted separately so that we can protect the fairness of the double-blind peer-review process. The cover sheet must include the name, affiliation, mailing and e-mail address, and phone number of the author along with a statement that the manuscript has not been previously published and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. Each submission must also include a 100-150 word abstract and a list of 8-10 key words.
